Air Canada Aeroplan offers a 100 percent bonus on all purchases (Actually Worth It For Many)
on January 27, 2022 by Gary Leff
Air Canada is selling points with a 100% bonus, which drops the price down low enough for some of you to consider it worthwhile. Miles may be purchased for 1.4 cents each, and I feel they are worth it. The deal is only valid till February 2nd.
Aeroplan generally costs 3.5 cents each point in Canada. That’s 1.75 Canadian cents each point with a 100% bonus.
- That’s 1.4 cents (That’s 1.4 U.S. Cents ($0.014).014) in US dollars.
- There are no taxes on accounts with U.S. addresses that pay for miles using a U.S.-based credit card.
Aeroplan is a Star Alliance frequent flyer program operated by Air Canada. They provide access to Star partner rewards throughout the alliance with no fuel surcharges, as well as a plethora of additional partners (such as Etihad and Virgin Australia), as well as significantly more functionality and customer support than LifeMiles, which sells miles for roughly 1.35 cents each.
Aeroplan offers reward charts depending on distance by area, as well as the ability to aggregate all of its partners into a single award. For instance, you may purchase all of the miles required for a business class reward to Europe. Lufthansa costs 60,000 miles plus taxes but no surcharges for a one-way flight between the United States and Europe. 60,000 kilometers multiplied by 1.4 cents is $840.
A maximum of one million bought miles each year is allowed, which should be plenty for most people. Of course, if somebody really wants to go all out, Aeroplan permits up to eight accounts to be pooled together.
Of all, there are lots of alternative methods to get Aeroplan points, so you may not want to buy or buy all the miles you’ll need (so taking advantage of this offer merely to top off an account).
The new comes with an initial bonus: of up to 100,000 bonus points after $4000 spend in the form of (2) 50,000 point certificates, which are effectively coupons applied towards any Aeroplan redemption. (Review) That pairs nicely with this offer, and is a href=”https://viewfromthewing.com/biggest-credit-card-offers-right-now/” target=_blank>one of the best card bonuses.
Chase, American Express, Capital One, and Bilt are also Aeroplan transfer partners. It goes well with the new Capital One Venture X card, which comes with a 100,000-point bonus, as well as paying rent via Bilt.
