Carnival Cruise Line has announced that it will be changing itineraries for three ships due to the hurricane. The changes are expected to happen on September 15th and could affect as many as 9,000 passengers.

Carnival Cruise Line has announced that it is changing the itineraries for three ships. The changes are due to a “carnival inspiration accident.”

Carnival Cruise Line has altered 15 itineraries on three ships, with sailings scheduled until 2023. Today, affected guests received an essential email outlining all of the upcoming changes, which will begin in the middle of November 2021.

Carnival Modifies Several Itineraries

Even if the cruise business is reviving, it is not without its challenges, such as continual schedule revisions and port adjustments. Three Carnival cruise ships are affected by the communication, including two itineraries for the Carnival Legend out of Baltimore, two itineraries for the Carnival Horizon out of Miami, and 11 itineraries for the Carnival Sunrise out of Miami.

The Carnival Legend will now cruise to Nassau, Princess Cays, and Freeport, all in the Bahamas, on November 14, 2021, February 13, 2022, and November 27, 2022. Princess Cays, Nassau, and Freeport, all in the Bahamas, are the new destinations for the ship’s December 26, 2022, and January 22, 203 sailings. These are all Spirit-class cruise ship departures from the Port of Baltimore.

There are just two itinerary modifications for Carnival Horizon cruises departing from Miami, Florida. The ship’s November 21, 2021 itinerary will no longer include a visit to Bimini, instead including a stop in Nassau, Bahamas. The voyage on December 5, 2021 will be completely different, with no stops in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, or Cozumel. Instead, the cruise will take passengers to Bimini, Half Moon Cay, and Amber Cove in the Bahamas.

From November 20, 2021, until November 19, 2022, Carnival Sunrise will have an influence on 11 distinct itineraries. The following are the new itineraries for the ship departing from Miami, Florida:

  • Half Moon Cay, Nassau, and Bimini on November 20, 2021
  • Half Moon Cay, Nassau, and Freeport, November 29, 2021
  • Ocho Rios and Bimini, December 4 & 28, 2021
  • Princess Cays and Bimini, December 9, 2021
  • Ocho Rios and Nassau, December 13, 2021
  • Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau on December 23, 2021
  • Amber Cove and Grand Turk: January 15, 2022, February 12, 2022, March 26, 2022, and February 11, 2023
  • Princess Cays and Nassau, January 20, 2022, and April 12, 2022
  • Grand Turk, Princess Cays, and Nassau, March 12, 2022
  • Nassau, Princess Cays, and Grand Turk on April 9, 2022
  • Nassau and Princess Cays, November 19, 2022

If the port is no longer on the itinerary, Carnival will reschedule any shore excursions booked via the cruise line on a different day or provide a full refund.

The cruise company did not specify why the alterations were made, although there might be a variety of reasons. Because of the many deployment adjustments as a result of the suspension of operations, the cruise line may have contractual obligations to make a particular number of calls to specified ports.

Another factor might be development in Nassau, Bahamas, as well as a restricted number of cruise ship slots at specific dates. Guests visiting the famous port have already seen substantial building activity on the piers as the new port’s development progresses.

This isn’t the first time Carnival has changed a big number of itineraries. There were various port changes among six distinct Carnival cruise ships during the end of July 2021. The major reason for this is that Key West and Grand Cayman are still closed to cruise ship passengers.

Carnival Cruise Line is making progress in restoring cruise operations, with 13 ships now operational. On November 14, 2021, the Carnival Legend will begin service from Baltimore. Carnival Horizon and Sunrise cruises from PortMiami have already resumed.
