Carnival has unveiled a new design for its diamond and platinum guests, featuring the iconic colors with their company logo. The pin will only be given to select guest who book on Carnival’s newest cruise line that is going into operation this fall.
The “carnival cruise” is a cruise company that offers cruises to many destinations. They have recently unveiled a new pin design for their guests and also offer discounts on cruises.
Carnival Cruise Line has launched a new Diamond and Platinum level collectable pin design. Romero Britto created the pins, which are ship-specific for each year and accessible on all Carnival Cruise Line ships.
A New Collectible Pin Has Been Unveiled
Carnival Cruise Line Brand Ambassador John Heald discussed the cruise line’s loyalty program and announced the new collectible pin design available to Diamond and Platinum level Very Important Fun Person (VIFP) guests in a live “Good Morning Coffee” Facebook video on January 4 as well as in a Facebook post.
Romero Britto, a Brazilian-born Miami artist, created the 2022 loyalty pin. Hearts, stars, dots, and stripes give playfulness and excitement to the design, which features more color than previous VIFP pins.

Britto, the pioneer of the Happy Art Movement, uses pop culture, graffiti, and cubism in his creations to promote happiness, hope, and love. Britto’s work has been shown in over 100 countries, including the Louvre in Paris and the Museo Soumaya in Mexico City, as well as public art projects in New York, Berlin, and London.
Romero has worked on projects with Audi, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Walt Disney, Universal Pictures, Evian, Invicta, Hasbro, and Mattel, among others, and he gives time, art, and resources to over 250 organizations across the globe.
Romero is also a member of the board of directors of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Carnival Cruise Line is St. Jude’s Official Celebration Partner, and its “Groove for St. Jude” dance celebrations have earned more than $18 million for the organization’s battle against children cancer.
VIFP Pins Information
Many customers choose to memorialize their cruises with the Carnival VIFP pins, which are available on every Carnival ship. The design varies every year, but the characteristic Carnival “whale tail” funnel, the ship’s name, and the year are always included. Ropes, ship’s wheels, portholes, compasses, and wave-like curves have all been used in previous designs.

A collectable pin is given to past guests who have earned the Gold level of Carnival’s VIFP loyalty program, however it is not ship-specific. The designs for Platinum and Diamond passengers are likewise distinct.
During the 2021 cruises, no pins were available. “We couldn’t issue ship-specific pins last year because we didn’t really know which ships were coming back,” Heald noted in his video.
Carnival Cruise Line destroyed four ships during the cruise industry shutdown: Carnival Fantasy, Carnival Fascination, Carnival Imagination, and Carnival Inspiration.
Pins are usually put in passengers’ cabins, but for the time being, the 2022 pins must be obtained through the Pixels Gallery. This complies with Carnival’s existing health and safety rules, which restrict the amount of individuals permitted to visit various cabins. According to passengers, supply may be limited, so tourists should pick up their pins as soon as their cruises begin.
VIFP Guests will benefit from new features in the near future.
Heald mentioned in his video that the VIFP program would be improved later in 2022. For the time being, changes to the program have been made to comply with health and safety regulations, such as requiring passengers to pick up their free presents rather than having them left in cabins.
Other free loyalty gifts in the past have included Yeti mugs, night lamps, bluetooth speakers, headphones, blankets, caps, chess games, notebooks, and more, in addition to the collecting pins. The rewards vary on a regular basis, and the current loyalty present is baggage tags, with drink koozies on the way later this year.
Priority boarding, which many Diamond and Platinum passengers enjoy, is not now accessible due to tight boarding rules designed to prevent crowds and accelerate the embarkation and debarkation processes, but Heald emphasised that it would be returned as soon as feasible.
Other upgrades have still to be disclosed, however passengers may proudly wear their new 2022 VIFP pins as they go on future Carnival cruises for the time being.
