The 6200-square-foot, five-level grand atrium combines a LED screen with dynamic moving images and carousel seating. It also features four bars that will offer almost 100 different types of cocktails and wines in addition to the already extensive menu of lighter fare.
MSC Cruises has revealed information on seven new At Sea with Carousel Productions events built specifically for its Meraviglia-class ships.
At Sea with Carousel Productions
MSC Cruises’ new production brand, At Sea with Carousel Productions, offers seven new shows combining acrobatics, dance, and music to create a dazzling entertainment in the intimate Carousel Lounge venue.
The goal of each 40-minute presentation is to push the frontiers of imagination. A hand-picked cast of performers is hand-selected from throughout the globe for their distinct performing abilities, and they are taught to MSC Cruises’ high standards.
The Carousel Lounge hosts all seven events, bringing the audience closer to the acrobatic flair and creative refinement on exhibit.
The latest sound and lighting technology combines human abilities with special effects. Each multi-million-dollar lounge is 10,000 square feet and can hold up to 400 people.

MSC Virtuosa — Ajedrez
This operatic rock spectacular, inspired by the game of chess, will present two rival queens who fall in love with the same king and compete to capture his heart.
As the teams fight it out to the tune of a ticking chess clock, the viewer encounters numerous figures from the chess board, from bishops to knights.
MSC Virtuosa — Arkymea
A scientist discovers a secret universe where even the most outlandish thoughts and desires come true. The scientist travels between realms with the aid of a mystery equipment to reach Arkymea, a realm filled by spectacular individuals performing acrobatic feats — and where magic comes to life.

MSC Grandiosa Strings
The story of a lonely toy manufacturer and his lovely muse is told in this high-flying circus adventure.
An amazing live music, incredible aerial feats, fascinating circus artists, and more are included in the presentation.

MSC Bellissima and Grandiosa are delightful.
The audience is transported to a real-life sweet world in this play. It’s chock-full of classic classics with a twist, and it promises to delight the whole family with a sugar rush of some of the most memorable songs.

MSC Bellissima — Myüt
Follow actors, acrobats, and dancers on an emotional journey through fantastic realms. As the protagonist, Myüt, sets out in quest of assistance to restore his voice, he is transported to a bright world rich of colors and flowers, lulling him into a dreamy condition.
He progresses through many environments, each of which elicits distinct emotions and stimulates his senses. Along the journey, he meets new people who have unique powers and abilities.
He is then led into the light, where he discovers his own skill and voice, which had been hidden deep inside him all along.

From May 2022, the MSC Meraviglia will be known as the House of Houdini.
This event is a celebration of the world’s best Harry Houdini’s most inventive and spectacular illusions and magic.
It combines cutting-edge music, lavish costumes, incredible props, and a multinational ensemble of performers who sing, dance, and spring to life in one of the world’s most technologically equipped theaters.
From May 2022, the MSC Meraviglia will host the Rock Circus.
Rock Circus is comprised of a highly skilled group of acrobats, circus performers, singers, dancers, and musicians, as well as the finest rock soundtrack ever created.
The only difference is that the guitar solos and knee slides will be performed in mid-air as the performers soar, spin, and jump through AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, and other classic rock songs.

For a nominal cost, these events may be ordered in advance or on board, and feature a custom drink or non-alcoholic beverage to complement the show’s theme.
Bombay Tonic, Vodka Red Rooster, Virgin Mojito, Rosemary Gimlet, Tiki Mule, and Paloma Fizz are among the cocktails available.
The Carousel Lounge was utilized for the line’s exclusive Cirque du Soleil concerts when the Meraviglia-class launched. MSC Cruises and Cirque du Soleil, on the other hand, are no longer partners.
