MSC Cruises has updated its health and safety protocols for the winter season, including a new policy on alcohol consumption.

The msc cruise covid protocol 2021 is a new update that has been released by MSC Cruises. It will be in effect from January 2021 to December 2022.

MSC Cruises has revealed its revised health and safety standards for guests in advance of its winter 2021-2022 cruise season.

The line has collaborated with authorities in all of the areas and countries where it operates to ensure that these measures meet or exceed all applicable regulations.

Here’s a rundown of what’s required in each of the regions where MSC will be sailing this winter:

Cruises to the Caribbean from Miami and Port Canaveral

All passengers must be completely vaccinated if they are 12 years old or older. Residents of the United States must provide evidence of a negative antigen or PCR test within 48 hours of the cruise’s departure. Non-residents of the United States must provide proof of a negative PCR test conducted within 72 hours of the cruise’s departure.

All passengers aged 2 to 11 must provide evidence of a negative PCR test within 72 hours of their cruise departure.

Caribbean’s south

All travelers aged 12 and above must be completely vaccinated and provide evidence of a negative PCR test within 72 hours of boarding. Kids between the ages of 2 and 11 must produce the same negative test from the same time period.

Mediterranean

Passengers from Schengen nations, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, will be allowed to cruise the Mediterranean with MSC.

Passengers who have not been completely vaccinated or who have not been fully immunized must provide a negative antigen or PCR test within 48 hours of departure, OR they must be fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 within the previous six months.

Non-Schengen passengers will be allowed to book these cruises as well, but only provided they are completely vaccinated and have a negative PCR test result obtained within 72 hours of the cruise’s departure.

Guests may only go ashore on MSC-arranged excursions, and certain excursions will need an official COVID accreditation to get entry to certain sites, like as museums or churches.

A visa is needed for entrance into Saudi Arabia for MSC Bellissima cruises in the Red Sea, and passengers who buy an MSC Fly & Cruise package will get a visa for Saudi Arabia valued at 30 euros per person included in the total cost.

Prior to entering the country, visitors must register their immunization status with Saudi Arabian authorities.

Additional Information

Passengers aboard MSC ships are required to carry a COVID-19 insurance coverage in many of the locations they visit. As a result, MSC will make this a requirement for all passengers. COVID-19-related risks like as cancellation, interruption, repatriation costs, quarantine, medical aid and associated charges, and hospitalization must all be covered by the insurance.

Passengers who have had all of their vaccinations may go ashore on their own, according to the regulations of the countries they are visiting (except in the Mediterranean). Those who have not been completely vaccinated or who are traveling with children may only go ashore on an MSC Cruises excursion.

Masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces onboard.

South American and South African requirements will be published shortly.
