Norwegian Cruise Line has made changes to its free-at-sea offer. It now offers four more days of complimentary cruise travel per person, up from three. Norwegian Cruise Line has made changes to their Free At Sea offer. The new offering allows guests to enjoy up to five complimentary specialty dining meals per cruise.
The cruise line’s Free at Sea enhancements have always been popular with passengers. The program allows customers to pay a nominal price or even obtain it for free with a booking and enjoy benefits such as complimentary WI-FI, gourmet cuisine, beverage packages, and more in return.
The cruise operator has made some adjustments to the schedule as of January 18. The speciality eating packages, which have been reduced, and the WIFI packages, which have been enhanced, have both undergone adjustments.
Dining for free at sea
If Norwegian Cruise Line is known for one thing, it’s the freestyle dining concept. Eat where you want, when you want. The Dining for free at sea package lets you enjoy the restaurants onboard the vessels that are typically available at an extra cost, and you only pay the gratuities.

The Free at Sea campaign used to provide one to five meals each cabin, depending on the duration of the voyage. This has been been corrected. Previously, you would have received one freebie meal on a 3-5 night cruise, two meals on a 6-8 night cruise, three free meals on a 9-10 night cruise, four free meals on an 11-14 night cruise, and five free meals at speciality restaurants on a 15+ night cruise.
The number of free meals is determined by the room and the length of the cruise in the updated promotion:
- Cruise Duration: 3 to 6 nights
- Any stateroom
- 1 lunch for free
- 7-11 nights on a cruise
- Studio, indoors, with a view of the ocean
